Laura is common too but I still like it, and prefer it to Lauren, Loretta, and even Lora. I know some people with names such as Shania, Shevannah, Micah and Indiarna (girls not boys) and I think they are quite unique. (except that I know about 4 Shanias.) Most Micahs I've heard of are usually boys, but I prefer it as a girl name.
My other middle name is Maynard, after my great-great-Grandmother Emily Maynard. She had a ring and when her daughter turned 17 she passed the ring down to her. Then when HER daughter was 17 the ring became hers, and so on. Now my Mum has the ring and in 4 years I will receive it. It is gold and has 2 rubies and 3 diamonds. It is so beautiful.
