Beautiful French Baby Names

231239-880624-thumbnail.jpgThat's my little French/Australian boy Charles Alexander Lambe as a baby. He's now three and we have a girl on the way - due in two months. We're thinking of naming her Elanore but that could change. So I thought I might throw up some classic French baby names.

Lovely list! I love the name Amoux, but I haven't found any references besides English-language naming sites indicating that it means eagle-wolf. Do you know if this an archaic name, or actually used in Francophone countries? Thanks!

I just coming across this, years later, but thought i would share. The Aimee who made a rude comment totally reminds me of a family friend. Same name, and around the time she commented this, was expecting her 5th child, a little girl, who SHE named Elodie. Aimee is a total French snob. Thinks she knows everything and anything about everything. I feel for her childrens teachers that have to deal with her. My son used to be friends with her kids, but couldnt handle their snobby-better then you attitudes. Good Riddence!

On a nicer note, the names that you have listed are lovely, and interesting! Wish i know some of them when i had my kids!

This is a great list! Thank you so much for taking the time to get all these names and post them.
To all the rude people, please just shut up! This is a list for names, not correct translations or swearing! You are being unbelievably mean.
