China Still Blocking Western Websites
China isn't an open country. There are some things they don't want you to know. They regularly block foreign websites - even yahoo, YouTube and Google. At least four journalists have been physically attacked by security guards or police in the past eight days in China. Chinese, Hong Kong and foreign journalists have been the victims of violence and harassment. China is the world’s biggest prison for cyber-dissidents with a total of 57 currently held, five of them Tibetans. It was ranked 167th out of 173 countries in the 2008 Reporters Without Borders press freedom index.
Three websites that will probably stay blocked in China are Amnesty InternationaL...Human Rights Watch and Reporters Without Borders
