You made it crystal clear that you posted these pictures as a warning, and you warn people for the graphic nature. I see no fault in this. What makes me furious is the police officer who sent them to friends, and thereby causing them to go viral, along with all the malevolent bastards who sent the pictures to her family and friends, and posting them on her MySpace-page. They are, as far as I am concerned, the villains in this drama. I wish there were laws against using pictures that way.

In Sweden there is a case, where the Pirate Bay published autopsy pictures of two very young children. They were killed with a hammer by their father's ex-girlfriend. (She is currently serving life inprisonment, thank God...) Their mother was severy injured, but recovered - eventually. During her hospitalization, her family begged the Pirate Bay to remove the pictures, but they refused, referring to the freedom of information.

As you have showed, even pictures that are very disturbing can be published if they serve a purpose - in this case to warn people about the dangers of driving under the influence of alcohol or other drugs. But autopsy pictures of murdered children cannot be defended.
