I can assure there is no love lost between the Germans and the French. I live here. The Germans are still pretty much despised by the older generation. Bit different for the younger people.

It may be an ad by a French company but its made in the UK by a British ad firm. The "humour" doesn't travel across the Channel.

No Nazi symbols. yeah, right. You need to research more peanut. Just vecause the gate was built in 1788 as you claim , doesn't mean it wasn't associated with the Nazis. Same goes for the eagle.

But you're right about the British being bigoted towards the Krauts...and the Frogs...and the Eye-ties...and the Ruskies..and the Chinks...the Japs...the Yanks...the Aussies. Let me spell this out for you.

This is an advertisement by a FRENCH company, taking a good natured dig at Germans. Did you get the punch line at the end? Made in France? Did ya? Starting to make sense now, is it? I'll let you think about some more.

And just to repeat the (to those of us who do have functioning brains) obvious, there are no Nazi symbols in the ad. The eagle if anything is the Weimar eagle, symbol of the (much detested by nazi's) Weimar republic. See for yourself: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coat_of_arms_of_Germany#Weimar Republic. The assertion that the Brandenburg gate, built in 1788, is a Nazi symbol is ludicrous beyond deserving a response. Or maybe Reagan gave his speech there and Kennedy and Obama pointedly visited it because they're such ardent Nazis, afterall?

I'm afraid the only link to Naziism here is being formed by the little bigot inside your head for whom Germany=Nazi.
