The BIG Word Project
Oh Jaysus, Mary and Joseph...this is fecking brilliant! The Big Word Project was set up by a couple of Irish chancers - Paddy Donnelly and Lee Munroe. They say they are exploring what different words mean to different people.Well yeah...but they're also about to explore some serious dosh at the same time. These guys make me sick - why didn't I think of this? It's such a simple idea and such fun. You buy a word from their list to represent your site. Your site will then represent this word in their list and when people click on it, they will be taken to your site. In other words you're buying a hyperlink - much like the MillionDollarHomepage that I'm also on. In this case you're buying a permanent PageRank 6 link. For a buck a letter. I've just gone mad and bought six words - "wally", "nazi", "cocksucker", "bong", "pot" and "fingers" - the last for my mate 'cause his nickname is fingers. And I've got these words linking to different pages on this site.
The project is aimed at changing definitions and creating a new tapestry of words, meaning altogether different things.
The Big Word project creators, Paddy and Lee, graduated with 1st Class Honours in Interactive Multimedia Design last year. They are now studying Masters in Multi-Disciplinary Design at the University of Ulster, Belfast and looking at ways of spending their soon to be earnt million dollars.
Good craic lads!
