Heath Ledger Best Actor Award
Heath Ledger
has just been awarded (posthumously) the GQ Best Actor Award (GQ Australia) for his work in the latest Batman flick The Dark Knight playing The Joker. Nine years ago he was nominated for a Best Actor in a Leading Role at the Australian Film Institute (AFI) Awards for his work as a naïve young wannabe gangster in Two Hands. Have a look at this clip -

As of October 2008, Ledger was listed as one of the world's highest-earning deceased celebrities, at USD $20 million, ranking third behind Elvis Presley and Charles M. Schulz.
Two more clips from Two Hands are available here at the excellent Australian Screen site You can also see Bryan Brown - another Australian actor that cracked Hollywood albeit in some stinkers like Cocktail with that short-arsed dope from the Scientologists.
