The Congdon Interview - better than TIME
Congdon: I would like to work on Rocketboom for a long, long time. People ask me all the time if I will use Rocketboom to get somewhere “bigger and better”. “Bigger and better?” I ask.... what does that mean exactly? TV? Film? Don’t get me wrong, I love working in those mainstream areas as well, but I don’t see them as bigger or better than RB. I see RB as one of the front runners in this media revolution. If I was on a TV show, I’d be just another girl on a TV show. With Rocketboom, as I see it, I have my hands on something historic.
AUGmentations: What is in store for Rocketboom?
Congdon: Andrew Baron and I are friends and business partners. We’re going to make more shows. We have some things in the works right now on that front that I can’t really go into details about. But how far do Andrew and I want to take Rocketboom? Very, VERY far.
AUGmentations: How much influence do you have on the Rocketboom content?
Congdon: I write about 40 percent of the RB content, Andrew would say 50 percent but I think that’s a stretch. Anything that I haven’t written, however, I have edited to fit my particular voice. The Casual Fridays I work on with my “boyfriend” or “life-partner” (I sound gay! But there is no good word for him!), he pretty much directs and edits all of those."
