Talking of beaver...I went to The Beaver bar last night at 19 rue des deux ponts (street of two bridges)on Ile St Louis. It's supposed to be a Canadian Bar but its owned by an Aussie and its manned by two Aussie clowns - Miles and Nick. What a great little bar! Not too expensive either. Monday nights they have Open Mic night. Kicks off at 9.30 and goes through to 2 a.m.. Very easy to find this place. Just go behind Notre Dame, cross the bridge and walk along the river to the next bridge and the bar is down there on the left.

There was some excellent talent there last night. Playing music, I mean. Although there's plenty of eye-candy aussi. This could be one of my new hang-outs, I fear. Both Miles and Nick are DJs with fledgling ParisLiveRadio. Miles does a late-night show "Downtime" and Nick hosts "The Oz Music Show". Oh yeah...nearly forgot...Joey John, another DJ from ParisLiveRadio rocked the place last night. This guy is a HUGE talent. I hope to have a link to his music soon. Caught him for the first time when he and Nick were playing CafeOz in Montmartre and the hairs on the back of my neck stood up they were that good. I think I might have to kidnap these guys and lock them in a studio for a week. Thanks Beaver boys...very good night.
