Oddball Book Titles

laff.gifFrom Schott's Almanac 2006 Oddest Book Title of the Year
"The Diagram Group's prize for the Oddest Book Title of the Year has been contested annually since 1978. It is run by The Bookseller and voted for eagerly by publishers and booksellers. Previous winners have included such splendid classics as these: Living with Crazy Buttocks; Proceedings of the Second International Workshop on Nude Mice; How to Avoid Huge Ships and The Big Book of Lesbian Horse Stories which was the 2004 winning title."

Aren't they great? Gives me an idea for my next book (well I haven't finished the first one yet but you know what I mean). I'm registering this title right now - How to Avoid Huge Shits That's gonna be a bestseller, doncha reckon?

The runners-up for the 2004 Oddest Book Title of the Year were: BOMBPROOF YOUR HORSE, The Aesthetics of the Japanese Lunchbox, Detecting Foreign Bodies in Food, Equids in Time and Space, Sexual Health at Your Fingertips(!!!) and Applications of High Tech Squids.
